MY STORY

We French all have our tales of love...
If I'd looked at myself in the mirror 15 years ago, I never would've imagined the hopeless romantic staring back at me would soon be living and working fulltime as an artist in New Zealand.
Well that's exactly where my journey takes me.
When 2019 came around, I was packing my bags, heading to the opposite side of the world, and reuniting with my now husband in New Zealand. Leaving the country I grew up in, my home, my friends and my family, to come to a country I had only visited a handful of times was all very hard.
Just like many others, art has always been a massive part of my life. The peaceful escape I needed after a day of exploring a new country and speaking a language I barely knew. Art was a quick way for me to connect with Kiwis, and luckily for me they enjoyed my art and even wanted to learn from me. Soon enough, I was selling artwork, participating in art exhibitions and teaching art (and French) throughout my week.

MOVEMENT IN THE MOMENT
My art expresses the idea of "Movement in the Moment".
Back in France, art was little more than a hobby to me. After graduating Beaux-Arts specialising in acrylics and materials, I started exploring "my" style.
Much of my artwork incorporates a range of materials to achieve a 3D mixed-media effect where there is something different to be seen from every perspective. The beginning was pure discovery, experimenting with the ways I could use different media, such as plaster, paper and even natural materials like leaves, rocks, features and lichen.
Often times my final artwork is the result of destroying and deconstructing multiple experimental art pieces and building a brand new creation from its parts. In chaos, there is always order. Sometimes even beauty. And my art explores exactly that.

THE FOUR ELEMENTS
More recently, and because of the interesting times we live in, I have been expressing myself through the Four Elements. Fire, Water, Air/Wind and Earth. This planet is amazingly beautiful and I challenge myself to see order and beauty in even the worst events and break free from their consequences.
In one of my latest art projects, I turned to the four seasons and created four separate mixed-media art pieces inspired by the everchanging and beautiful natural world.
Welcome to my universe. Where every canvas is a brief moment in time, with its own story to share.
